Xiaomi 11T camera: a cinema camera in your pocket – Over time Xiaomi has been improving the photographic section of its terminals, to the point that they have nothing to envy compact professional cameras. The company has followed the same philosophy of established brands in the sector, without losing sight of value for money. And today, Xiaomi is the leader in its segment, with a portfolio of terminals with high-end features at a competitive price. This is the case of the Xiaomi 11T Series, recently presented in Spain, and which has the best mobiles that we can buy in 2021 if we are looking for versatile cameras and performance.
The Xiaomi 11T Series comprises two models: Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi 11T that we want to talk about in this article. But more than reviewing all its characteristics and technical specifications, which we have already done in other articles in which we have discussed the Xiaomi 11T in detail , here we want to review in detail the potential of its camera: it is a mobile with a 108 megapixel main sensor , which aims to turn our day to day into a movie set.
If you want to know some of its main keys, do not stop reading: We reveal all the secrets of its cameras below.
108 Megapixel professional camera
The Xiaomi 11T is made up of a triple camera, in which a 108 megapixel main sensor reigns with a focal aperture f / 1.75 and a pixel size of 0.7 microns. In this way, it is possible to achieve bright images when we capture a photo in dark or low light environments.
How do you get photos with such a result? The key is in the Super Pixel 9 in 1 technology : It is responsible for dividing the sensor matrix into nine proportional parts to achieve 12 megapixel images with more luminosity.
This primary sensor is accompanied by a second 8-megapixel with a wide-angle lens and focal aperture f / 2.2. Its great advantage is that it offers the possibility of obtaining 120º images without having to activate the Panoramic mode. Perfect then for group or landscape images.
Finally, the third sensor is a 5 megapixel sensor with a telemacro lens, which combines the advantages of a macro lens with those of a telephoto lens. This is very useful to get very close photos (for example, just 3 centimeters from the object) without losing quality.
Professional day and night photography
One of the great keys to the Xiaomi 11T camera is its set of tools, driven by AI and software, which enhances the creativity and productivity of the user. This is much better appreciated at night than during the day, as the night mode is really impressive.
But it also has specific modes to squeeze the full potential of the camera in low light. With neon trails, starry sky, star trail, moving crowd, we will be able to create captures very much in the style of professional SLR cameras. These different modes are designed so that your night shots have a special brightness and more light, of course, without losing naturalness.
A movie camera in your pocket
Thanks to the primary sensor, its powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Ultra processor, the Xiaomi 11T can record video in 4K resolution at 30 FPS as if it were a movie camera.
It includes support for slow motion video of 720p at 120 fps, 240 fps, and 960 fps, and 1080p at 120 fps. And it is also capable of recording in 1080p resolution at 60 fps.
Cinema modes with cinemagic
Powerful chips and AI-powered software allow editing to not only be limited to photography, but also to video. In fact, the Xiaomi 11T is a clear example of this. This is where the One-Click AI Cinema mode comes into play , a suite for videomakers, in which we are going to find six different effects:
- Freezing time . Freezes time in part of the video, returning a partial “freeze” effect.
- Magic Zoom . The zoom effect focuses only on the background of the image and not on the foreground subject.
- Slow shutter . A slow shutter speed is used, leaving that awakening effect, very common in confused scenes.
- Night Time-Lapse . Perfect if you want to photograph a day-night change of light.
- Freeze Frame . When a single box of content is repeatedly displayed on the screen, “freezing” the action.
- Parallel world : Duplicate the scene on the vertical axis.
As if this were not enough, we also have the Bokeh mode in video, which is applied in real time. It imitates professional video cameras, blurring the background and making the object that we want to appear in the foreground as the protagonist.
And if the aim is to improve the sound of video recordings, it is possible to activate the Audio zoom function , which increases the sensitivity of the microphone when we are approaching the object.
It is clear that Xiaomi has done a great job with this Xiaomi 11T, something that you can check yourself if you get hold of it. The device is available to buy from 500 euros in three colors to choose from: gray, white or blue.
