Who is Sophia Robot?
Sophia is a social humanoid robot that developed with high technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. Sophia is given a face like Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn. She was developed in 2016 by a company called Hanson Robotics which is in Hong Kong, China.
What can Sophia Robot do?
Sophia Robot can do many things easily. Human beings who cannot do it also do the work. Robot can express her feelings just like humans. Such as anger, smiling or eyelashes and all kind of facial expressions can express.
Hanson Robotics says she can read face as well. That means the person in front is happy or unhappy, it is understood by seeing the face. This robot can know and recognize any place. This robot is designed by Hanson Robotics to help with crowds during major events or crises or to be a suitable companion for the elderly in nursing homes.
Sophia Robot Citizenship
Sophia got the citizenship of Saudi Arabia and become the first robot to do that. The Robot was granted the citizenship of this country at the Future Investment Summit in Riyadh at 25 October.
Who made Sophia Robot?
February 14, 2016, was the historic day when a humanoid robot named Sophia was launched. This robot was developed by a company called Hanson in Hong Kong, on the southern coast of china.
As of 2018, Sophia’s architecture includes OpenCog, scripting software, an artificial intelligence system, a chat system designed for general logic. This robot uses its speech recognition technology from Alphabet Inc. which is a parent company of Google. She is developed to be smart over time.
This robot derives her speech capability through Cerepro’s Text- to- speech engine. And also allows her to sing. An intelligence software has been created for This robot designed by Hanson Robotics. Artificial Intelligence a technology works by extracting data by analyzing a program interaction that allows future responses to be better and more perfect.
This robot is not a single humanoid robot, but other than that, there are at least 10 to 11 robot humanoid siblings. They are also produced by Hanson Robotics. The names of those robots are Joey Chaos, Zeno, Jules, Han, Professor Einstein, Hubo, BINA48, Philip K. Dick android, Alile, Albert Einstein, etc.
Around the year 2019-20, the Hanson Robotics company released “Little Sophia” as a companion who can learn to teach children coding, supporting Raspberry Pi, Python, Blokli.
